‘Today I’m going to ride my motorbike in The Alps again, all day...brilliant!’
Some experiences are hard to put into words, but I remember waking up one morning in a hostel high in The Alps and the first thing that came into my head was the statement above. I was hooked.
To be honest, I started to set this site up to run organised tours as a business but after the realisation that currently, I simply don't have the time to take on what's involved with doing that, I've decided that for the moment at least, to make it simply about my trips, past, current and future. Over the past seven or eight years, motorbike touring has become my one real passion, the excitment, exhilleration and sheer riding pleasure of being away, enjoying the roads and the places they take you. And whether its a day's rideout, a weekend away or a longer trip through Europe, my tours are predominantly about riding and about getting the most out of each day of being away on my motorcycle.
So what's the point of having a site? Or, more to the point, why would it be of interest to you? Well, in addition to tales and photos of my own past trips, my site contains information about touring, what to take, what not to take, places to stay, useful contacts etc...There is suggested reading material for organising trips, or books to read about other's trips.
Hopefully, in the course of time, I will turn to running tours professionally but in the meantime, I'll continue to organise trips for the group that I've built up over the past few years and enjoy that to the full.
If this sounds good so far, please take time to browse through the rest of my site and contact me if you have any questions.
