Period: July 2014 - Current
Following the acquisition of BLUW Stuff by the Litebulb Group, I was appointed as Product Designer within the BLUW creative team where I continued to work on external projects for the Innovation & Design Hub but increasingly on BLUW's own projects.
I have been become fundamental in the development of BLUW products, developing ideas and taking those ideas through all aspects of the design process, from initial concepts to dealing with suppliers and manufacturers.

1997- 2006
Junior / Middleweight / Senior Product Designer
The position started as Junior Product Designer within a small creative team at a design and model-making consultancy. Over the years at Synapse, my skills, knowledge and experience developed until I gained Senior Designer status, overseeing the more junior designers.
My role was to develop solutions to customer briefs within a variety of market sectors and involved creating one-off products, through to entire ranges. I gained extensive experience of working with brands during this time, developing product for Aardman through to Zefal.
In addition to working with established names, I was also responsible for creating new product brands and packaging solutions for several customers.
2006 - 2008
Position: New Business and Project manager.
My responsibilities involved reviving old customer relationships and finding new ones, primarily for the model-making side of the business. I was also responsible creating new branding for the company and for producing marketing material and brochures as tools to support my role.
During this period I successfully secured a number of new and old customers for the business which resulted in increasing business by 20%. I also continued to work as a Senior Product Designer but in more of an advisory role within the design team.
2008 - 2011
Position: Partner
Continuing to fulfill all of my previous roles, I also became more hands on within the modelmaking side of the business, creating models for a variety of customers including manufucturers and other design consulantcies.

Position: Junior Designer
Period: August 1996 - December 1996
Fresh out of University, I was given my first oportunity at a small design consultancy in the west country. My role was supporting the owner and principle designer and involved working on a variety of projects for large national companies and small independants.
During my time at DHA, I was trusted to liaise directly with customers and suppliers, and whilst continuing to work closely with the principle designer on a number of projects, I also worked independantly on other projects.

Employer: Ila Security Ltd (Litebulb Group), London.
Position: Senior Product Designer
Period: January 2012 - July 2014
Position as sole designer for a London based manufacturer producing personal security devices and manufacturing product for customers. Working with project managers, my role was creating designs either for pitching for new business contracts or for creating new products for Ila Security.
As the company developed, I was an integeral part of creating a consultancy division to the business, the Innovation & Design Hub, where-by we provided an end-to-end design, development and manufacturing service to external customers. I was also responsible for creating the new venture's identity and designing the website. During this time, I developed various products from ceramic-ware, to children's toys. The role also required me to identify new factories and suppliers to produce different products.
