Project: JCB Branded Garage Tools & Lighting

 

Automotive accessory market leader Custom Accessories approached us to develop a range of lighting and workshop tools for the home mechanic market. The range included various lights with fixing attachments, axel stands and a hero product in the form of a trolley jack.

 

Originally developed as being an OEM product range, the JCB licence was obtained and applied to the designs. JCB liked how the rugged designs reflected how their brand is perceived and so endorsed the branding.

 

As well as designing the products, I also designed the packaging for the products including the product names for the individual items.

 

For many years the range sold successfully, primarily under the JCB brand but was also up-taken by the UK's leading automotive store, Halfords, where it sold as a store branded range. A reduced range continues to sell for Custom Accessories USA in the North American market.
